Welcome, and thanks for stopping by to see what Summer Camp at the studio is all about! At Beale Pottery, our adult-focused Summer Camp is more than just a series of workshops - it’s a creative community experience where makers come together, learn new skills, and make lifelong memories in the heart of Northwest Indiana. Set in our cozy rural pottery studio just 7 miles South of Indiana Dunes National Park, the camp blends artistic exploration with friendship and fun.

Our clay camp was born from a love of summer camp nostalgia and a desire to build connections through pottery. We wanted to create space for people to slow down and emerge themselves in a creative atmosphere that encouraged learning new skills, making cool stuff, and having a ton of fun in the process. What began with conversations among our Friday night members blossomed into a full summer program featuring guest instructors, exciting workshops, collaborative time in the studio, and a chance to explore our beautiful area.

Campers can plan to dive into a variety of pottery techniques, from hand building and wheel throwing to surface design and sculptural work. Eric and I will be teaching during camp alongside a lineup of professional potters offering workshops that highlight their specialties - let me tell you, this year’s lineup does not disappoint!

Campers are invited to either sign up for the entire week (check out that discount!), or simply choose one or more workshops to design a camp that works best for you. We are happy to offer a 10% discount after your first full price workshop purchase. *John Britt’s 3-day glaze workshop will not be offered at a discount.

Whether you’re polishing old skills or discovering pottery for the first time, our Summer Camp is a welcoming space for makers to expand their skillset, explore new ideas, and celebrate the joy of working with clay together in the company of fellow mud enthusiasts. Clay nerds unite!

We look forward to seeing you all at Beale Pottery Summer Camp 2026!
