Camping at Beale Pottery

Want the full summer camp experience?

For those who love the idea of staying close to the action, we offer primitive camping right here on our 4 acre property during Summer Camp. The Southwest corner of the land has a flat circular clearing surrounded by trees - We call it “The Berm”. There is a mowed path along the woods to get back and forth each day. The walk is short, and mostly level (one small hill). Wake up with the birds, grab a cup of coffee, and walk right into the studio to start your day!

What to Expect

Our studio is on our residential property and located in Westville, Indiana. It’s surrounded by woods, fields of agriculture, wildlife, and big open skies. On a clear night, the stars put on a spectacular show.

This is rustic, primitive camping, which means:

• Tent and Travel Trailer camping in designated grassy areas

• No electric hook-up

• No potable water

Amenities

While the camping itself is primitive, we provide a few basics to make your stay comfortable. Campers will have access to:

• A Portable Potty and wash station within the camping area

• Shared outdoor gathering areas

• Evening campfire space

We do have a restroom in the studio that you are welcome to use as well.

*Please note that showers are not available on site, so plan accordingly.

What to Bring

To make your stay comfortable, we recommend bringing:

Rain Gear (Just in case)

Flashlight or headlamp

Camp chair

Reusable water bottle

Weather-appropriate clothing + hiking shoes if you want to hit the trails

Snacks or personal food items

Swimsuit - it’s a beach town baby!

Bug Spray + Sunscreen

Battery powered fan - it is July

Portable Phone Charger or battery pack - recharge in the studio

Do you play? Musical instrument for campfire jams

And of course… your favorite camp mug. :)
