We absolutely love where we live. The Indiana Dunes State Park and Indiana Dunes National Park provide a remarkably diverse ecosystem just steps from Lake Michigan - America’s Third Coast. In fact, The INDNP is the 4th most biodiverse park in the country! Whether it’s a day on the beach watching the waves roll in, or exploring our beautiful dunes and shaded trails, there’s a kind of peaceful magic here that heals just about anything - no matter the weather.

Each year, thousands of visitors come to experience this special area, drawn by its natural beauty, outdoor adventure, and small-town charm. I haven’t met many potters that aren’t also nature lovers, but if the outdoors just aren’t your thing - not to fret! There is plenty to explore and keep you busy between growing art districts, quaint downtowns, and Chicago is a short train ride away… Chesterton, Michigan City, Valparaiso, and LaPorte have beautiful downtown areas full of shops, cafes + restaurants, and are full of creative energy. This corner of Northwest Indiana is the perfect blend of scenic beauty, creative community, and cultural connection.

I will link some of our tourism partners for you to check out for things to do, and places to stay - you can click on any of the images below, and it’ll take you right to their sites full of helpful information. I am happy to share my list of favorites if you’re interested in getting the inside scoop - feel free to reach out anytime!

We’d love to help you plan your visit!

In the past we’ve had potters who have traveledl with their families, and stayed nearby while they come for a workshop or two. We’ve had couples and friends who travel together, and work our summer camp into their getaway. Whatever the case, we’re here to help with your travel itinerary so you have the best trip possible.
