Eric has been experimenting with glaze chemistry for some time now. With this collection, he tinkered with his firing cycle, the chemical makeup, and the application. He was aiming for rounder crystals within this mid range no-flow crystalline glaze, and he achieved just that. Each one of these pieces differ from the next, and are truly one-of-a-kind. The blueish-green flow of crystal clusters with subtle pops of pink throughout this Valentine drop is really special. Crystalline firings are exciting, and somewhat temperamental. While Eric has a general idea of the outcome, he doesn’t always know what’s coming out of the kiln.
These sundae cups are lined with an in-house food safe glaze, the color is white.
These sweet little sundae cup will brighten any day. All the shapes are very similar, with slight variation in color, height, and the diameter.
Each one of these sundae cups have been handmade from start to finish. The clay is measured and thrown on the potters wheel, a foot is carved into the bottom. All of our glazes are made from raw materials right here in our studio, unless otherwise stated. We do not use molds. Due to our hands on process, each piece we make will vary slightly from one another - no two are the same, giving you a truly unique piece of art.
