LaPorte County 4-H Ceramics

from $25.00

We are very excited to be supervising the LaPorte County 4-H Ceramics program for a second year in 2025!

We have dedicated the first and third Tuesdays of the months (with the exception and addition of April 29th) leading up to fair time for 4-H kids to work on projects. We’ll be open from 4-7pm, and will be donating our time and space for the kids. There will be a nominal fee to cover materials.

When checking out please leave us some information in the notes section about your child(ren): names, age(s), dates that you plan to join us, and let us know if there has been any clay experience in the past.

Below is a brief summery, also found in the handbook, describing expectations for projects listed by grade groupings:

Beginner | Grade 3-5 *Beginners have the option of simply painting bisqueware pottery

• Learn to create hand-built pottery pieces using either the pinch or coil method.

• Finish pieces by painting with underglazes and/or dipping glazes.
