SUMMER CAMP

Sculpted Luminaries | Felicia Meyer
Let your creativity shine - quite literally! In this beginner-friendly sculpture class, Felicia Meyer will guide campers through creating their own handcrafted luminary.
Campers will be provided with a pre-thrown rounded form that Felicia has created on the wheel. Felicia will demonstrate how to carefully carve openings that allow light to glow beautifully through the piece. The real magic comes next - each camper will design and sculpt a whimsical feature that becomes the highlight of their luminary.
Felicia is especially fond of animals and flowers, but she loves helping students bring their own ideas to life - whether that’s a woodland creature, a tiny house, a favorite pet, or something entirely imaginative. She’ll provide plenty of visual references and inspiring examples to spark ideas and support every step of the process.
By the end of camp, each student will have a unique sculpted luminary that glows with personality and charm.

We can not provide beer or wine, but you are welcome to bring your own as long as you consume responsibly.
Class is limited to 18 participants.
This workshop is part of our summer camp series, and you will earn a special patch for participating. You are invited to submit your finished piece for display during our closing day raku picnic on August 1st to earn ribbons.
Attend multiple summer camp events and get 10% off each additional workshop after paying full price for one. Attend all workshops and receive a Claypron with our Summer Camp logo to display your patches, plus a 20% discount overall. *John Britt’s workshop is not eligible for discounts.
Our closing day raku picnic is open for all campers to attend, reminisce, and enjoy the day. We will also be open to the public, so feel free to bring friends! There will be raku pots to purchase, glaze, and fire up during the event. Your 10% discount for multiple workshop purchases will apply here as well. Those that attend ALL workshops are invited to one raku pot free of charge.
PLEASE NOTE: All workshop sales are final - no refunds or credits. We operate our summer camp with discounts on our end making it more affordable for you. We plan ahead to make summer camp special. We pay our guest artists for traveling to be here, and sharing their skillset with our community. Thank you for understanding! :)
