About Rhythm + Raku Fest

Eric and I opened up our pottery studio for classes + workshops in March of 2023. We had no idea how much fun we’d have, and to be honest - have been blown away by the community response. Over the past couple of years our student base has grown, and we’ve befriended the most wonderful group of clay enthusiasts, curious neighbors, and those looking for something new and different to enjoy.

This event is put together to celebrate the community that has grown here, and to invite everyone else to come check it all out. We’ve hosted a handful of big events since we’ve been in this location, and with each event we dial it in a little more. This year’s celebration will be one to remember! We’ve got professional sound hired and an incredible lineup of music from 2pm-10:30pm, Burn Em Brewery will be here with their sweet local brews, Fatties BBQ has a mouthwatering menu to share with us, Zap Z Dawgs will be slingin glizzies in the lawn, and the Toasted S’mores truck will be here later in the day.

We have 4 raku kilns this year! Guests will have the opportunity to decorate their own raku pieces (TONS of pumpkins to choose from! ) with a variety of glazes, watch them get fired up, and take them home the same day!

Clay Games are back, and we’re going big this year! We’ll have a list of competitions both on the wheel and off that you’ll have the opportunity to sign up for. If you win your heat, you will be awarded a handmade clay “metal”!
