This has become one of our very favorite traditions.
For the fourth year, we’re welcoming our friend Kris Livovich of Sugarfield Flowers back to the studio for an evening of flowers, pottery, and making something really beautiful for the Thanksgiving table.
We’ll begin with the pottery. Beale Pottery will create a collection of ceramic vessels exclusively for this workshop, each one handmade and finished in warm, earthy glazes meant to live well beyond Thanksgiving. You’ll choose your favorite - and then it’s time for the flowers.
Kris will arrive with an abundance of fresh, American-grown flowers, foliage, branches and seasonal textures and guide you through building a lush centerpiece from the ground up. She’ll share her approach to color, balance, movement and composition, while helping each person create an arrangement that feels entirely their own.
And this is the part we love: the flowers are beautiful for the moment, but the pottery stays.
Long after the table has been cleared, your handmade Beale vessel becomes something you can fill again and again - with flowers, branches, greenery, or whatever you gather throughout the seasons.
Come spend an evening with us before the busyness of Thanksgiving begins. Make something beautiful, learn from Kris, choose a piece of pottery made especially for you, and head home with your centerpiece ready for the table.
