Raku Pottery Date Night - July 26th
Saturday | July, 26th | 5-9pm
$195 per couple
Skip the movies! This is a perfect opportunity try something new, and spend some time with your significant other, a loved one, or invite some friends. We have a really great night planned!
The Raku process is by far one of the most exciting ways to finish pottery, and we’re shaping this relaxing date night around the whole process. We’ll start the night with a brief history of the raku process, and share a quick demo. Then, couples will choose 2 different pre-made vessels to decorate using various raku glazes, horsehair, or simply “naked”. You can watch as our team brings your piece up to temp in our raku kiln, and places it into a bin where we reduce the oxygen - that’s where the magic happens! Each couple will walk away with their own one-of-a-kind pieces of pottery after the workshop. *extra pieces available for purchase.
Length of Event: 4 hours (sometimes runs longer)
Please dress for the weather, as we will be outside for the majority of the evening. It does get a little chilly on the hill where we fire, so be sure to bring something warm. We do ask that you bring a camp chair so you have a place to sit and watch the live action.
Nicole Bisonette from Fish Campand Joe & Freddy’s will be catering an incredible barbecue meal for us. We will not be able to accommodate for allergies, but you are welcome to inquire about the menu and bring what you need to supplement.
We will have live music to keep us entertained while we wait on raku pots to come out of the kiln.
We can not provide beer or wine, but you are welcome to bring your own as long as you consume responsibly. In the past we’ve had couples come prepared with wine, or their own coolers to pull cold drinks from. We also have limited room in our small fridge for you to store some drinks in.
Class is limited to 16 couples. 21+
All workshop sales are final - no refunds or credits.
