Beale pottery began with the collaboration of Eric’s wheel thrown work, and Milissa’s design work/hand painting. This special line of pieces was created just for Mother’s Day. Eric formulated his crystalline glaze to allow for Milissa’s drawings to show through. They turned out beautifully! If you look close there is a painted heart hidden in each design. :)
Eric has been experimenting with glaze chemistry for some time now. He’s been aiming to achieve both micro and macro crystal growth within the glaze surface, and this batch boasts some of his greatest results yet! Crystalline firings are exciting, and somewhat temperamental. While we have a general idea of the outcome, we don’t always know what’s coming out of the kiln. These mugs are unique and one-of-a-kind pieces.
Sundaes are lined with an in-house food safe glaze, the color is white.
Our Beale Pottery logo is stamped into the bottom of each piece.
Each one of our pieces are handmade from start to finish. The clay is measured and thrown on the potters wheel, a foot is carved into the bottom.
All of our glazes are made from raw materials right here in our studio, unless otherwise stated. We do not use molds. Due to our hands on process, each piece we make will vary slightly from one another - no two are the same, giving you a truly unique piece of art.
While these pieces would hold up in the dishwasher, we recommend that you hand wash these special beauties. Keep out of the microwave as well. :)
